If you think that the distance recorded with ConquerorDistance is not accurate this will be due to an issue with your phones GPS.
Here are some things that can increase GPS accuracy and therefore ConquerorDistance accuracy:
You can recalibrate the GPS on your device. There are different instructions for this on iOS and all android phones, your can search how to do this on your device.
Turn off power saving mode. Power saving mode SIGNIFICANTLY weakens the GPS and we HIGHLY recommend turning that off before recording a distance.
Put a sim card in the phone you are using.
Turn on mobile data data and/or wifi.
Charge your battery before recording a distance.
Remove metallic phone cases from your phone.
Other factors that can influence the accuracy:
Being in a building or amongst tall building when recording a distance.
Being in a dense forest when recording a distance.
Turning GPS on after having it off for a long period of time.
During our internal testing of ConquerorDistances we recorded the same activity on multiple devices and using multiple other apps to compare the accuracy of ConquerorDistance.
What we found was that the distance recorded between any of the app, and even the same app on 2 different device was almost never identical. So if you are comparing the accuracy against other devices you are not likely to see perfect matches.
If you happy with the distances that another device or app is recording, you can connect with most of these directly through the Conqueror Connections, or via Apple Health on iOS or HealthConnect on Android.
