The Conqueror is a virtual challenge app that motivates you to get active and stay active by mapping your real-world movement onto iconic routes around the world — think trekking the Inca Trail, walking the Great Wall of China, or even walking from The Shire to Mordor, all from wherever you live.
To get started, you download The Conqueror Challenges App from the App Store or Google Play on your phone, create an account, and enter a join code to begin your chosen challenge.
Join codes can be purchased through The Conqueror's website or in-app, with payment options including credit card (Afterpay/Clearpay in some locations) and Paypal.
Once your purchase is complete, your join code(s) is emailed to you with the subject line "Important Registration Information." Note that join codes can be challenge-specific — for example, a Hadrian's Wall join code will only allow entry to that challenge or series — or they can be universal join codes, letting you choose from any original Conqueror challenge.
Once you're in a challenge, you log your activity by posting distances to the app. You can do this with our in-built step and activity trackers, post manually by entering your distance or steps directly, or by connecting a third-party app or device — such as Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava, Garmin or Google Health (Fitbit) — which can sync your activity automatically.
All the activities we record are distance-based, but the app has an activity conversion chart to convert different exercise types into distances for you.
As you log distances, your progress moves you along the virtual route, and you can see landmarks and scenery as you "travel." You can also create or join groups and teams to stay connected and motivated alongside people you know.
When you reach the finish line, a pop-up appears on your challenge page, and you can then redeem a physical medal by confirming your delivery address in the app.
Challenges have a 24-month expiration period from the date the join code is redeemed, so medals can only be claimed for challenges completed within that timeframe.
We offer over 100 real world challenges, with lengths ranging from 34km / 20mi all the way up to 4611km / 2865mi, and over 16 licensed challenges in collaboration with well-known brands and franchises, we really have challenges to suit everyone.
