To view and edit your map settings, navigate to the challenge you want to modify. Since map settings are unique to each challenge, this is especially useful when participating in multiple challenges simultaneously.

  • Once on your challenge screen, you’ll find the map settings near the bottom left, between the Locate button and the Google Street View button, as shown below

Adjustable Map Settings

On the Map Settings page, you can customize the following:

  • Map Style – Choose between Classic, Terrain, or Satellite. Your selection will now remain saved until changed.

  • Visible People – Control which groups of participants are displayed on your screen Read more here. It can be just you, your group (Formerly Known as Community), or your team, etc.

  • Pacemarker – When a timeframe is set for a challenge, a pacemarker moves daily to indicate the pace needed to reach your goal. If you prefer not to use this feature, you can toggle it on or off.

Note: There is no penalty if the pacemarker reaches the finish line before you. You can still log distances as long as you complete the challenge within the 24-month timeframe.
