House points is another way that The Conqueror can help you to stay motivated to achieve your fitness goals. This feature is exclusive to the Harry Potter™ Virtual Challenge Series.

Here's what you need to know:

My Points

You can earn house points for certain things along each challenge. These have been split into points for distance (exercise), points for discovery (enjoying app content) and points for knowledge (answering quizzes correctly).

If you have joined a house in the challenge, which you can do at any time, your points will contribute to that house's points. There is a house leaderboard to compare the performance of each house.

If you haven’t joined a Hogwarts House yet, you will still earn points, but they will not count towards the House Cup Leaderboard. If you decide to join a house, then any points you’ve earned in that month will automatically be updated to contribute to the House Cup.

You will only gain access to the “My Points” screen once you have joined a House.

Distance

You can earn distance points for:

  • Reaching each of the five Milestones in your challenge (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%)

  • Posting a new activity type you haven’t logged on any of the Harry Potter™ challenge before (you can get points for up to 12 different activity types, e.g. swimming, walking, cycling)

  • Catching The Golden Snitch™.

    • You will have the chance to catch The Golden Snitch™ on every challenge of the series. Keep an eye on the map or notifications to see The Golden Snitch™ appear.

    • Once it appears, you have 48 hours to catch it, and you can do this by logging the distance stated in the app. This goal distance is calculated based on your average daily distance for the current challenge, with a 20% boost to push your fitness goals. As you work towards your goal, the map marker will count down the hours you have remaining, but the goal shown is still your total distance goal, it doesn’t count down.

    • If you miss it the first time you will get two more chances to catch it on that challenge.

Discovery

You can earn discovery points for:

  • Viewing a story in full (don’t skip, watch until the end!)

  • Sharing a collectible card to your social media for family and friends to enjoy

  • Viewing each ‘Behind the Magic' content that unlocks on your challenge (look for the lightning bolt icon on your map, go to My Rewards, or keep an eye on your notifications).

Knowledge

Put your Harry Potter™ knowledge to the test to earn knowledge points:

  • There are three quizzes on each challenge

  • You will find these on your My Points screen

  • They will never expire, so you will be able to answer them at any point you feel ready. The month in which you complete them will be the month in which the points get allocated for the leaderboard.

  • You will have one chance to answer them once you’ve started the quiz

House Cup Leaderboard

The House Cup leaderboard shows the ranking of each of the Hogwarts™ houses.

A few things to remember:

  • The points reset each month and only reflect points that are earned in the current month.

  • The points are averaged to give each house a fair tally, regardless of how many people are in each house.

  • Your house points won't apply in the leaderboard until you have joined a house.

  • You are not able to change your house.
